The Sicilian
Located in Forster, The Sicilian is set over two-stories with a distinct Italian coastal restaurant atmosphere. The Sicilian reimagines vintage European hospitality through a contemporary, site-responsive lens. Inspired by the refined gentleman’s aesthetic of 1940s Italian cinema, the design builds on the venue’s existing identity while elevating it into a more immersive and unique dining experience.
The Sicilian stands out as a social space by challenging conventional hospitality design in the region, creating a destination that draws guests upward through a carefully curated arrival sequence and rewards them with a vibrant, light-filled rooftop environment in Forster. Its originality lies in the layered narrative, combining nostalgic Italian references with bold materiality and immersive detailing.
